Fish Curry (Meen kolzhambu)

Hello Readers,
        Fish is the universally loved food . In coastal areas of India, fish curry is very famous . Now I'm going to share one of my favorite recipe of fish curry. It is simple but very tasty. Hope you all try this at home and enjoy the taste.




Ingredients:
  • Shallots /Onions  -300kg
  • Tomato  -1 nos
  • Garlic  -7 nos
  • Ginger- 1 inch
  • Grated Coconut - 1 table spoon 
  • Coriander powder - 1 1/2 table spoon
  • Chili powder  - 1 1/2 tea spoon
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tea spoon
  • Garam masala  - 1/2  tea spoon
  • Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tea spoon
  • Mustard Seeds -  1/4 tea spoon
  • Tamrind Paste - 1 big lemon size
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt
  • Sesame oil

Method:

  • Saute the onion ,ginger and garlic till the onion gets golden brown colour.


  • Add Chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, grated coconut and turmeric powder to the mixture and saute it for 2 minutes.

  • Once it cools down, make it a fine paste.


  • In another pan, Heat the oil, once oil becomes hot add mustard seeds and Fenugreek seeds.

  • After mustard seeds crackles, add onion, tomato and curry leaves, saute it for 2 minutes
  • Add earlier made onion paste, tamarind paste, salt to this masala, Saute it for 3 minutes and add required amount of water.



Allow it to boil for 10 minutes and add fish to it, cook it for 5 minutes without stirring.

  •  Now the Fish Curry is ready to taste.

Peas Gravy

Dear Readers,

Today we will see the making of Easy Peas Gravy Recipe.






Ingredients:


  • Peas - 250 g
  • Onion - 3 Nos
  • Tomato - 1 Nos
  • Green Chili - 2 Nos
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tea spoon
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tea spoon
  • Chili Powder - 1 tea spoon
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tea spoon
  • Hing - 1/4 tea spoon
  • Bay leaf - 1 No
  • Cumin Seeds - 1/4 tea spoon
  • Cardamom - 1 No
  • Cashew - 6 Nos
  • Salt 
  • Oil
  • Ghee

Method:


  • Heat Oil in a pan and add onion, green chili (1 No), saute till onion becomes translucent.

  • Add tomato and cashew, saute it for 5 minutes, once it cools down make it a fine paste.

  • Heat Oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, cardamom, Bay leaf, Once you smell the aroma then add Hing, Ginger Garlic Paste, saute it till the raw smell vanishes.
  • Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, chili powder, saute it for a minute.

  • Then add the Onion Paste and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Add Peas, Salt and required water, cook for 15 minutes

  • Before end of 15 minutes, add Garam Masala.

  • Add tempering to the gravy and put off the flame.


    Tempering:

    • In a separate pan, add Ghee, once it gets hot add cumin seeds, red chili.

    Pomfret Fish Fry

    Today would like to share a very tasty and Easy Recipe of Pomfret Fish Fry. you can never go wrong with this recipe....Here we go......



    Ingredients:

    • Pomfret - 3 nos
    • Ginger and garlic paste - 2 table spoon 
    • Corriander Powder - 2 tea spoon
    • Chilli Powder - 1 tea spoon
    • Garam Masala - 1/2 tea spoon 
    • Chat Masala - 1/2 tea spoon 
    • Lemon Juice - 3 tea spoon
    • Salt - 1 tea spoon
    • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tea spoon 
    Method:
    • Mix ginger garlic paste, corriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala, chat masala, lemon juice, salt, turmeric powder and mix well



    • Take Promfret fish and make slits on both sides
    • Apply the paste made on both sides and marinate for 1 hour


    • Shallow fry the fish on tava with little oil and cook each side 5 minutes on a medium flame
    • Serve the fish with lemon and Onion and Enjoy the taste....





    Chicken Korma

    Today i am sharing the Easy Recipe of making Chicken Korma (Southern Indian Style).



    Ingredients:
    • Chicken - 1 Kg
    • Onion/shallots - 550 g
    • Tomato - 1 (Small)
    • Grated Coconut - 3 table spoon
    • Cashew  - 2 Nos
    • Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tea spoon
    • Corriander Powder - 2 table spoon
    • Chilli Powder - 1 table spoon
    • Garam Masala - 1 table spoon
    • Mustard - 1/2 tea spoon
    • Curry Leaves - As required
    • Oil - As required
    • Salt - As required
    • Red Chilli - 1 No
    • Cloves - 2 No
    • Cinnamon - 1 Small Piece
    • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tea spoon
    • Ginger - 1 inch piece
    • Garlic - 7 Nos
    Cooking Method:
    1. Onion Paste:
      • Heat the Oil and add onion/shallots and saute it till it gets golden brown colour
      •  Add Corriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala, Saute it for a minute and  once it cools down, make it a fine paste.

    2. Coconut Paste:
      • Make a fine paste of grated coconut, fennel Seeds and cashew.
    3. Ginger Garlic Paste:
      • Make a fine paste of ginger garlic, cinnamon and cloves.

    4. Making Korma:
      • Heat the oil, add mustard seeds, once it crackles add Red chilli and curry leaves and immediately add Ginger Garlic Paste and saute it for 2 minutes.
      • Then add onion (50 g), tomato and saute it for 2 minutes
      • Add Chicken and cook it till the chicken leaves out all the water in it.


      • Add required salt and add the onion paste and cook for 20 minutes.

      • After that add coconut paste and cook it for 5 minutes.
      • Add Corriander leaves and the dish is ready to serve.
