Today i am sharing the Easy Recipe of making Chicken Korma (Southern Indian Style).
- Chicken - 1 Kg
- Onion/shallots - 550 g
- Tomato - 1 (Small)
- Grated Coconut - 3 table spoon
- Cashew - 2 Nos
- Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tea spoon
- Corriander Powder - 2 table spoon
- Chilli Powder - 1 table spoon
- Garam Masala - 1 table spoon
- Mustard - 1/2 tea spoon
- Curry Leaves - As required
- Oil - As required
- Salt - As required
- Red Chilli - 1 No
- Cloves - 2 No
- Cinnamon - 1 Small Piece
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tea spoon
- Ginger - 1 inch piece
- Garlic - 7 Nos
Cooking Method:
- Onion Paste:
- Heat the Oil and add onion/shallots and saute it till it gets golden brown colour
- Add Corriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala, Saute it for a minute and once it cools down, make it a fine paste.
- Coconut Paste:
- Make a fine paste of grated coconut, fennel Seeds and cashew.
- Ginger Garlic Paste:
- Make a fine paste of ginger garlic, cinnamon and cloves.
- Making Korma:
- Heat the oil, add mustard seeds, once it crackles add Red chilli and curry leaves and immediately add Ginger Garlic Paste and saute it for 2 minutes.
- Then add onion (50 g), tomato and saute it for 2 minutes
- Add Chicken and cook it till the chicken leaves out all the water in it.
- Add required salt and add the onion paste and cook for 20 minutes.
- After that add coconut paste and cook it for 5 minutes.
- Add Corriander leaves and the dish is ready to serve.
